School Group Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Definitions
Attraction
The Traitors Live Experience show as operated by the Company
School
Means the educational institution entering the Booking.
Group Leader
Means the authorised representative arranging and attending the Booking.
Students
Means all pupils or minors attending.
Participants
Means all attendees including Students and accompanying adults.
Public T&Cs
Means the Company’s standard consumer attendance terms a copy of which can be provided on request but is also available at here.
Venue T&Cs
Means the venue’s applicable operational terms a copy of which is available here.
Event Date
Means the confirmed attendance date.
Booking Confirmation
Means written acceptance issued by the Company.
2. Contract Formation and Authority
- 2.1 A binding contract is formed upon issue of the Booking Confirmation. This will not occur until any required payment is received.
- 2.2 The Group Leader warrants authority to bind the School and communicate all applicable requirements.
- 2.3 The School shall be responsible for all acts and omissions of Participants as if they were its own.
3. Incorporation of Public and Venue Terms
- 3.1 Attendance is subject to the Public T&Cs and Venue T&Cs, incorporated by reference.
- 3.2 These School Terms prevail for commercial matters.
- 3.3 Public and Venue T&Cs prevail for safety, conduct, participation and operational rules.
4. Safeguarding and Supervision
- 4.1 The School retains responsibility at all times for supervision, care and control of Students.
- 4.2 The School shall ensure appropriate supervision ratios and safeguarding compliance.
- 4.3 The Company is responsible for safe operation of the Attraction and staff training.
- 4.4 The Group Leader must remain present and contactable throughout the visit.
5. Behaviour and Participation
- 5.1 Participants must comply with staff instructions.
- 5.2 The Company may refuse admission or remove any Participant where reasonably required for safety, safeguarding or operational reasons.
- 5.3 Removal or refusal shall not entitle the School to a refund.
6. Pricing, Payment and VAT Neutrality
- 6.1 All prices are exclusive of VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.
- 6.2 Where VAT applies or rates change, sums payable shall be increased so that the Company receives the same net amount.
- 6.3 Any amount expressed as inclusive of VAT shall be treated as VAT-neutral and adjusted if VAT treatment changes.
- 6.4 Deposits are non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise.
- 6.5 Full payment is due no later than 30 days prior to the Event Date.
7. Group Size and Final Numbers
- 7.1 Minimum group sizes may apply as specified in the Booking Confirmation.
- 7.2 Final numbers must be confirmed no later than 7 days before the Event Date.
- 7.3 Reductions after confirmation do not reduce fees payable.
8. Changes and Rescheduling
- 8.1 Date or time changes are subject to availability and Company approval.
- 8.2 Approved changes may incur administration fees and price adjustments.
- 8.3 The Company is not obliged to accommodate late arrivals or schedule overruns.
9. Cancellation by School
- 9.1 Cancellation must be made in writing. Postponement shall be treated as cancellation.
- 9.2 Charges apply:
- 9.2.1 180 days or more before Event Date: full refund minus 10% administrative charge
- 9.2.2 179–91 days before Event Date: 50% refund
- 9.2.3 Less than 91 days before Event Date: no refund
- 9.3 The School shall reimburse the Company for any special items or third-party costs incurred.
- 9.4 Any disruption to public transport, traffic conditions or travel delays shall not entitle the School to cancellation, refund or rescheduling under any circumstances.
10. Company Changes or Cancellation
- 10.1 The Company may make reasonable changes to format, content, staffing or layout.
- 10.2 Where performance is prevented by events beyond reasonable control, the Company may reschedule or provide credit.
- 10.3 Refunds, where applicable, are limited to sums paid.
11. Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- 11.1 The School shall notify the Company in advance of any Students requiring additional support.
- 11.2 The Company will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate such requirements in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
12. Health and Safety and Risk Assessments
- 12.1 The Company shall provide reasonable pre-visit information upon request.
- 12.2 The School is responsible for its own risk assessment and determining suitability of the Attraction.
13. Emergency and Lockdown Procedures
- 13.1 Participants must comply with evacuation, emergency or security procedures.
- 13.2 The Company may temporarily restrict entry or exit where reasonably required for safety or security.
- 13.3 Such measures implemented in good faith shall not give rise to liability.
14. Franchise and Intellectual Property Protection
- 14.1 Where the Attraction operates under licence or franchise, all intellectual property remains owned by the franchisor or licensor.
- 14.2 Operational standards may be imposed by licensors.
- 14.3 Loss, suspension or modification of franchise rights beyond the Company’s reasonable control shall constitute a force majeure event.
15. Photography and Media
- 15.1 Photography or filming may occur as described in Public T&Cs.
- 15.2 The School shall ensure appropriate consents are obtained.
- 15.3 Commercial use requires prior written consent.
16. Anti-Bribery and Corruption
- 16.1 Each party shall comply with the Bribery Act 2010.
- 16.2 Material breach shall entitle termination with immediate effect.
17. Liability
- 17.1 Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
- 17.2 Subject to this, the Company’s total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid.
- 17.3 The Company shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss or travel or accommodation costs.
18. School Responsibility
- 18.1 The School shall be responsible for Participants and any damage caused except where due to the Company’s negligence.
19. Force Majeure
- 19.1 Neither party shall be liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control including pandemics, governmental restrictions, venue closure, utility failure or transport disruption.
- 19.2 Where affected, the Company may reschedule or offer a refund less reasonable costs incurred.
- 19.3 The Company shall have no further liability arising from such events.
20. Data Protection
- 20.1 Each party shall comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
21. Entire Agreement
- 21.1 These Terms, the Booking Confirmation, Public T&Cs and Venue T&Cs constitute the entire agreement.
- 21.2 The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply.
22. Governing Law
- 22.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- 22.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
